Data Breach

Please download our Consumer Protection Notice.

Former pet sitting contractors Lisa Hart and Jodi McGowen no longer represent K9Cardio and they have been locked out of our system. We regret to inform you there has been a data breach of our client information. The following fields of data were downloaded by a former worker 2 days before she quit:

Full Name, Email, CC Email, Primary Phone, Secondary Phone, How did you find us, Access Instructions, Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip Code, Emergency Contact Name, Relationship, Email, Primary Phone, Secondary Phone.

This worker then deleted several upcoming client requests for service. Some clients later notified us they had other arrangements.

Please check your schedule with us and double check that all of your appointments are correct. If you find any discrepancies, notify us immediately.

All credit card information is encrypted and was not downloaded, however, we recommend that you change your access codes and update the new information in your profile.

We have recovered most keys and the keys that have been withheld are being researched and will hopefully be dropped off at our attorney’s office. We have notified customers that fall into this category.

We are working with the MA Attorney General’s Office and have reported this to law enforcement. We do not believe you are in harm and consider this data theft mainly as an attempt to gain information from our company and use it to gain new clients.

As many of you know we were working on the sale of our company to this person. This will not occur and we are proud of our ten-year history with our clients. We will continue providing you with the great service you are used to.

Please contact us with any comments and concerns or feel free to voice a complaint with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
